The gourmet kitchen, with chef’s table area, entertainment alcove and appliance garage, cook island and side bar features an abundance of overhead natural light and has a south facing side patio and herb garden, for BBQ’s, plein air lunches and sunning. The formal dining room has bay window views and built-in cabinetry next to an open plan great room boasting vaulted ceilings, a fireplace, audio/video center, powder room, intimate seating alcove, corner wet bar and dramatic floor to ceiling glass doors to access a wide deck and views of the ocean and surrounding hills.

A custom media wall and central systems utility closet are also found here. Radiant heat throughout.

A spacious lower level primary suite and spa bath include a sauna, a generous walk-in closet and dressing room as well as the laundry room + housekeeping office and kitchenette. Bedroom amenities include soaring ceilings, media cabinetry, fireplace and glass sliding wall that opens to a protected sunny walk-out patio surrounded by hillside landscaping and lighting. This level benefits from its proximity to the Terrace Drive garage and storage.

Neighborhood Gallery

254 Santa Paula Avenue

St. Francis Wood is situated on 127 acres and includes 561 unique homes. Opened in 1912, the first supervising architect was John Galen Howard, imagining the elaborate lamposts, entry portals, fountains and landscaping, brick-diamond sidewalks, the main gate and first fountain. Henry Gutterson succeeded Howard, designing the neoclassical upper fountain and numerous houses during development.

A much sought after neighborhood, it is near the West Portal and Stonestown shopping areas, near Stern Grove and Golden Gate Park. It has streetcar transportation to downtown plus an easy car or shuttle commute south to the peninsula, Silicon Valley and San Francisco International Airport.

The Homeowner Association includes landscaping improvements and maintenance, neighborhood parks, recreational facilities including children’s playground, basketball and tennis courts and is one of the few San Francisco master planned residence parks. It is now designated the St. Francis Historic Wood District and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
